This has been triggered by something relatively minor:reading the comments in this entry on John Scalzi's blog and having one relate to "Judeo-Christian morality" when talking about abortions. And I'm going, "No, idiot, there is no such thing as Judeo-Christian anything cultural- even the books we share you tend to interpret differently and these books are really minor parts of your culture and major parts of ours" and continue in this vein until all the stupid folks who use the phrase as a shorthand for "Christian stuff we want to claim is older then Christianity and made more respectable by us sharing it with the Jews (that our culture abused for several hundred years)" will learn never to use it, and stop pretending that they're being "big tent" and "cosmopolitan" and "inclusive" when they don't bother to even look up the first thing about the cultures they want to be "inclusive" about.(I'm not going to comment there because that comment is 200 comments upstream and it would be borderline off-topic as is)
